I originally thought the problem was that the memory mapped file made by ProcessA was not findable by ProcessB, but not even ProcessA can find the file it just made, even though the handle is good and can be used to write and read the file. WebJul 9, 2012 · Memory Mapped files can be used when you have a large amount of data and don't want to incur the cost of marshaling it across process boundaries. I have used it for a similar purpose. You need to be fairly comfortable with unsafe and pinned memory concepts in .NET to take advantage of MMFs.
