WebJun 24, 2005 · That is dangerous. What you want is the fuse panel close to the battery or a heavy duty fuse at the battery feeding the aux fuse panel. Long unfused runs of wire crossing the firewall are a set-up for an electrical fire. edit: It looks like the original poster has a circuit breaker, likely close to the battery. I missed that the first time through. WebJun 8, 2024 · I know of no prohibition on unfused conductors -- after the meter -- save that you're going to have to use bonding bushings at every turn until the unfused conductors reach your main OCPD, which is usually the MAIN C/B, too.
